MR BLAIR’S RECITAL

In the Town Hall concert chamber on Monday evening, June 29, a song recital will be given by Mr David Blair and a number of his pupils. A very attractive programme has been arranged. Excerpts from Handel, Gluck. Rossini, Verdi, Meyerbeer, and Saint-Scans will be renthe songs being selected from Carrissimi, Schubert, Schumann. Brahms, Strauss, Wolf, Anil, Elgar, John Ireland, etc. Mr Blair will introduce for the first time the Young People’s Choir, when Sir Hubert_ Parry’s “ England.” Schubert’s “Rose in the Heather.” and “The Wandering Miller ” and “ Spring Flowers "’ (by Myles Foster) will be sung.
