THE ELECTROLUX ORGANISATION
The Otago and Southland Electrolux organisation met last Saturday evening at the City Ho£l, at a dinner and social evening, tendered t$ it on behalf of the directorate in recognition of its achievements over the last three months, culminating in the local branch carrying oil with honours the leadership for New Zealahd. j
After proposing the toast of 'the managing director, Mr Smith congratulated/ his sales force and staff on an excellent increase, in sales, necessitating the appointment of additional representatives and staff to cope with the public demand for the new silent electrolux, to which was attached a new suction mop. Prior to a most enjoyable dance, the district manager, Mr Smith, on behalf of the Electrolux organisation, presented Miss Field with a dressing table set as a token of appreciation of her services to the company over the last six years. Miss Field thanked Electrolux, Ltd., for its thoughtful consideration. Congratulations were extended to Mr C. A. Casson, who successfully carried off the prize of a gold watch and chain presented by the Electrolux directorate for the leading New Zealand salesman. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought a most happy evening to a close,
