TRAFFIC INSPECTOR IN COURT (Peb United Pbksb Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jkne B.*, A touch of novelty was added'to the proceedings in the Traffic Court to-day, when the chief traffic inspector (Mr H. Macintosh) made a voluntary appearance to answer a charge of driving without the proper number plates on his car, “I suppose a fine of £lO would meet the ease,” said the magistrate (Mr E. D. Mosley), smiling. The penalty, however, was altered to the payment of 3s costa, the magistrate remarking that the defendant was taking his gruel like anyone else. !
