REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, April 1. There was a light westerly breeze, with fine clear weather, to-day. The barometer is steady at SO.OOin. WELLINGTON, April 1. It was a brilliant day in Wellington 1 to-day, and at noon the temperature was very warm. Towards evening heavy clouds banked up and threatened rain, but they partly dispersed later. The wind was from the north. CHRISTCHURCH. April. 1. The weather to-day was cloudy, with a light to moderate breeze from E.N.E. The maximum temperature was 63 degrees. The barometer fell during the day, but now shows a rising tendency, the reading being 29.83.
