MRS VICTOR BRUCE. WORLD FLIGHT COMPLETED. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGBY, February 20. Mrs Victor Bruce concluded her 19,000 miles world flight to-day, when she arrived at Croydon from Lympue. No single part of her Blackburn Bluebird aeroplane was renewed during the flight. According her an official welcome on behalf of the Air Council, Mr F. Montague said the most striking feature of the accomplishment was its perfect efficiency. Recalling that Mrs Bruce qualified for her private pilot’s license only two months before starting, and her actual flying experience up to the date of her departure was only about 40 hours, he said this must have an important bearing upon the development of air-mindedness, and do much to convince the public of the strides made in air conquest and the efficiency and reliability of aircraft. LIEUTENANT BROMLEY. PLANE TO BE SOLD. TOKIO, February 20. Lieutenant Bromley’s aeroplane, which is stored at Tachikawa aerodrome, will be. sold under orders received to-day from the man who backed the previous transpacific attempt. Lieutenant Harold Bromley set out from Tokio on September 14 last to fly to America, but was forced to return by bad weather, and landed on a suitable beach near Shiriya lighthouse. He subsequently abandoned the attempt. ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA. FAIRBAIRN REACHES LYONS. PARIS, February 20. Mr Fairbairn, the undergraduate who is flying to Australia, arrived at Lyons last night. The weather is delaying his departure for Italy.
