SECOND DAY’S RESULTS.

CHIEF EVENT TO KARAPOTI

(Pee United Press Association.) WANGANUI, February 2L The Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was concluded to-day in perfect weather, and the attendance was better than on the opening day. The track was fast. The totalisator handled £14,714 10s, compared with £24,407 for the corresponding day last year, making a total for the meeting of £26,905 10s, representing a decrease of £23,441 on last year’s £50,346 10s. After the Matarawa Hack Handicap, H. Wiggins, rider of Tar Baby, was suspended tor three months for crossing and interfering with Royal Bengal, causing Merry Cry to lose his rider (E. Burgess), who was not injured. Hatteras fell after travelling half a mile in the Fordell Hurdles, but rider and horse escaped injury.
