THE WANGANUI MEETING.
SPORTING CHANCE WITHDRAWN. (Pee United Press Association.) WANGANUI, February 20. Sporting Chance was withdrawn from the Jackson Stakes at 2.50 p.m. to-day.
HORSE DISQUALIFIED.
APPEAL DISMISSED. (Per United Pkess Association.) ' INVERCARGILL, February 20. The Southland District Racing Committee met this evening to consider the appeal lodged by A. M. M‘Kay, owner of Toa Taua, against the decision of the Wairio Jockey Club in disqualifying his horse in the steeplechase for not having taken the proper course. After considering the evidence, the committee decided to dismiss the appeal.
