(Fbom Oub Own Coebespondeni.) GORE, February 16. PERSONAL. Mr F. D. Kilby is taking the place of Mr L. Roberts, of the stair of the Bank of Australasia, during the absence of the latter on holiday. Mr J. G. Duncan, who has taken a prominent part in the horticultural activities of the district, has been appointed judge of the sweet pen section at the Dunedin Horticultural Show. In view of his marriage, which to oik place to-day, Mr G. Mitchell was met by the members of the Gore Municipal Band, of which he has been secretary for a number of years, and was presented with a dinner wagon. Mr E. J. M'Dowell, in making the presentation, referred to the active part the guest had played in the affairs of the band. The Rev. A. M. Costain travelled to Dunedin to-day to be present at the a;nnual conference of the Methodist Church. SHORTHAND EXAMINATIONS.
