LANCASHIRE WEAVERS
DISPUTE DRAGGING ON. REFUSAL TO NEGOTIATE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 24. (Received Jan. 25, at 5.5 p.m.) The Weavers’ Association by a majority refused the executive powers to negotiate on the more looms per weaver system. The lock-out is costing Lancashire £2,000,000 every week in loss of orders and wages. The Lancashire .Weavers’ Association, supported by nine unions with _ a membership of 290,000, decided to withdraw all labour from mills where the system of more looms per weaver has been introduced.
