INDIA'S CONSTITUTION
ATTITUDE OF CONGRESS. CO-OPERATION PROBABLE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) CALCUTTA, January 22. Every effort is being made to secure the full co-operation of all sections in India in assisting to frame a future constitution. Advices from Delhi suggest that the Government is unlikely to interfere with the meeting of - the Congress Working Committee (a banned association), which is being held at Allahabad to-day. The Government is determined to give every opportunity for congressmen to study Mr Ramsay MacDonald’s historical announcement. It is understood that thcie is every chance of Congress taking action which will lead to. co-opeiation. INDIAN ASPIRATIONS. RECEPTION AT CONFERENCE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 22. Sir Akbar Hydari and the members of the Hyderabad State delegation to the Indian Conference entertained Mr Ramsay MacDonald last night. Sir Akbar Hydari said that sduring the conference they reached a degree of unanimity on the main issues, which he regarded as the most remarkable achievement, and even where a settlement was not reached there had been a distinct relaxation of tension. He paid a warm tribute to the sympathetic reception Indian aspirations received in Britain , and to the intimate knowledge of Indian problems displayed by Mr MacDonald.
