REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. {Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, January 22. The morning was overcast £ind cloudy, clearing later to bright sunshine with a light wind from the south. The baro-, meter rose to 29.90, ! WELLINGTON, January 22. For Wellingtono’s annual Anniversary Day holiday to-day the weather was variable, but on the whole, pleasant. The morning was aunny, stiff, and warm, but early in the afternoon a light mild southerley sprang up. Ominous clouds formed, and there was a light shower. Immediately after, however, the sky cleared and the remainder of the day was almost as pleasant as the morning. CHRISTCHURCH, January 22. Sunshine and cloud alternated to-day, and there were two smart showers in the forenoon. The wind was from the south-west, and the maximum temperature was 66 degrees.. The barometer is rising, the, reading this evening being 29.77 degrees.
