The wind was a light westerly, and light rain fell during the morning. The barometer is unsteady at SO.lOin. WELLINGTON, December 1. The weather was again fine in Wellington to-day. There was a strong wind from the north.
CHRISTCHURCH, December 1. The weather to-day was bright and warm, with a strong breeze from the north-west, which changed this evenin' l to south-west. The maximum ture was 72d_eg. The barometer, which has been falling all day, is now rising, the reading being 29.85.
