PROPOSED BAN ON SMOKING. . THE' MANAGERS INDIGNANT. (United Press. Association.) (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) LONDON, November 30. . (Received Dec. 1, at 5.5 p.m.) . Managers are indignant over the proposed ban on smoking in theatres and declare that they have already been innu dated with letters from patrons urging a vigorous protest. Theatres are already ■ suffering from the opposition of talking Knemas, where smoking is permitted, and a ban would do incalculable harm “because everybody smokes nowadays.”
