AMATEUR SWIMMING.

DUNEDIN CLUB’S CARNIVAL. The first interclub carnival of the season will be held at the Municipal Baths this evening under the management of the Dunedin Amateur Swimming Club, The programme is a long and varied one, and will commence at 7.30 pun. Fifteen teams have entered for the Interclub Relay Race, which is a record entry for Dunedin. A unique event will be the Family Relay Race between teams of three who require to be members of the same family. This race has created great interst, and it will decide which is the champion swimming family of Dundin. A Novelty Seahorse Race and a water polo match, Duneidn Club v. St. Clair, will be staged, and under the direction of Mr Roy Galder, and headed by Mr H. E. Walker, the Dunedin Club's diving troupe will give one of its diving displays, introducing some new and difficult dives. Sir Charles Statham, patron of the club, has signified his intention of being present, and will formally declare tbe season open.
