MR FORBES IN ENGLAND
RECEIVED BY THE KING. ’ (United .Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, November 28. Two hundred members of the New Zealand Society gave a luncheon to Mr Forbes and Sir Thomas Sidey at the Savoy, Sir Thomas Wilford presiding. Mr MacDonald said that he and' Mr Forbes were both, a little old-fashioned, believing in the sentimental bond of Empire. Mr Forbes paid a tribute to Mr MacDonald’s tact, patience, and diplomacy as chairman of the Imperial Conference. New Zealand, he said, had to face lower prices, and must do it cheerfully. Earl Jellicoe proposed the toast of Sir Thomas Wilford. The King received Mr Forbes and Mr Bennett at Buckingham Palace.
