FOUND DEAD IN CAR.

THREE LETTERS SUPPRESSED. DECEASED AN ARMY OFFICER. (Peb United Peess Association.) TB AROHA, October 3. The adjourned inquest into the death of George Arthur Bush, whose body was found in a car outside the Rorana Hospital in Kenrick street, Te Aroha, was held to-day before Mr J. Motley, district coroner. The Government analyst’s report showed that death was caused' by a dose of nlcaline cyanide. Evidence was given by J. E. Burns, who last saw the deceased alive; Misses Phyllis Mary Whitten and Bessie Farrow, probationers at the hospital; Mary Jean Haughtou, maternity nurse, and the owner of the car in which the deceased was discovered, and Stephen Dennis Toomey, night watchman, who found the body. The police evidence showed that three letters were written, all pointing to suicide, which the coroner declined permission to read owing to a reflection on certain people. Mr G. Gilchrist, acting for the deceased family, pointed out that he held the rank of captain in the army and fought in both the Boer War and the world war, and this was likely to affect him.
