THE LAUNCH TRAGEDY.
TRACES OF THE DISASTER. NO BODIES RECOVERED. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, October 2. No trace has been found of the bodies of the three fishermen who were drowned when their launch was driven ashore near Ohiro Bay on Tuesday evening. The coast for several miles round the scene of the . tragedy was patrolled yesterday and to-day by the police and fiaherfolk, and several sea-boots were picked up on the shore. The task of thJ searchers was made difficult to-day by the big seas' which were still pounding on the coast. Mr J. G. Coates has sent a message to the Island Bay Fishermen’s Association expressing the sympathy of himself and Mrs Coates in the loss they have suffered by the tragedy.
