(Received Oct. 2, at 5.5 p.m,) The index figures of the cost of living in Great Britain have been lower during the past six months than those recorded previously at any time since the war. The figures show that the average percentage of increase, as compared with July, 1914, for all groups iucluded by the Ministry of Labour in the statistics fell below 00 for the first time at the beginning of April this year. Two months later it was down to 64, and at the beginning of September it stood at 57. In 1029 the monthly' average percentage increase ranged from 00 to 07.
