ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
PREMIERSHIP FINAL TO-MORROW. With the Technical and Seacliff equal on points for premiership honours, the local competition has reached an interesting stage, and the final, which will take place on Saturday on the Caledonian ground, has already evoked much interest. Both teams are keen and confident of winning, and the public should witness an attractive and exciting game, the result of which will count for the dual honour of ■ holding two trophies—the Fletcher and Chinese Cups. Although the Technical Old Boys’ team has not the same experience of cup-tie footbal) as its opponents, it has youth and speed to match against the more studied play of the Seacliff side- During the past season the teams have met on two occasions, each having a win to its credit, and the coming encounter is therefore the more interesting, A curtain-raiser to the big match will be played between Otago High School juniors and the Otago Primary School representative team. In the last two years the Otago boys have been successful in winning the honours at the annual tournaments, and they display clean, open football which is refreshing to watch.
