MINIATURE RIFLE NOTES.

The Returned Soldiers’ Miniature Rifle Club fired the seventh series of its club championship on Monday evening. A good muster was in attendance on the range, and the shooting was well up to the average. The following are the best scores: —D. M'Kay 38, J, MKee 38, W. Meikle 37, D. Marr 37. J. Judson 37, O Holden 37. R. Bowie 37, H. A. Edmonds 36, J. Harvey 35. G. H. Ferens 32. M. Harvey 32, W.,Goudie 31, S. Evans 30. In conjunction with the championship a handicap match was fired, and the following members qualified for the shoot °ffi—W. Meikle, D. Mari?; O. Holden. D, M'Kay, R, Bowie. J, Harvey, W. Goudie, J, M'Kee. On Monday next the R.SJMJR.A. will fire a home and home match against the Cromwell Miniature Rifle Club. The Returned Soldiers team will be as follows:—D. Marr. J. Judson, W Meikle. D. M'Kay, J. M'Kee, O. Holden, M. Harvey. H A. Edmonds. R. Bowie. S. Ewens; emergencies—G. H. Ferens. W. Goudie, R. Finder. The Returned Soldiers’ Miniature Rifle Club team met the Railway Miniature Rifle Club B team in a teams’ match last evening. The Returned Soldiers team won the match with a total of 288 against the Railway B team’s total of 272. The following are the scores:— Returned Soldiers.—H, A. Edmonds 38. D. Marr 37, D. M'Kay 37. J. M'Kee'37. S.' Ewens 37, J. Judson 36, O. Holden 33, R. Bowie 33:—total. 288. W. Meikle (32) and M. Harvey (28) were counted out. Railway B.—Corbishley 37, Rhodes 36, Buchan 35. .Cadman 34.
