THE WHALER KOSMOS.
DAILY WEATHER REPORTS. APPRECIATED BY METEOROLOGIST. (Peb United Pbess Association.) , WELLINGTON, October 1. Since she left Wellington the whaler Kosmos has been sending a daily weather report, which has been much appreciated by the Government meteorologist and of great assistance in preparing forecasts. To-day the Kosmos was in latitude 64 south, longitude 172 east, barometer 28,27, a fall of over an inch since yesterday; N.N.E. gale of force nine, tern-' perature 32 degrees,, seas very heavy. Evidently the ship is near the centre of a most intense Antarctic cyclone.
