WELLINGTON, October 1. a public meeting held on Friday ; evening last for the purpose of forming a Wellington branch of the New * Zealand Wrestling Association the Pro- . visional Committee then appointed met this evening for the purpose of approving ' of rules for the new organisation and appointing executive officers. The following were duly . elected i—President, Mr M. S. Carr; vice-president, Colonel G. Mitchell; chairman of committee, Mr' G, W- Slade: hon.. secretary and treasurer* Mr W. A, Thomson; hon. surgeon, Dr Hugh Steele; hon. solicitor, Mr J. J. M'Grath: 1 members.of executive—Messrs A, L. Johnson, J. M'Donald. J. W. . Murphy, G. W. Slade, T. Coltman, L. Sales, P. Wood, C. G. Porter, and Dr Steele. , It was decided to proceed at once to incorporate the association under the Incorporated Societies Act, and for this purpose application for incorporation was signed by those present. The rules of the association were duly approved, and instructions were given for immediate registration.
