ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 9. While having an anaesthetic administered to him, prior to having teeth extracted, H. W. Reynolds, married, aged 35, collapsed and died in a dental surgery this morning. An inquest was opened before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M. After evidence of identification had been given the inquiry was adjourned until Monday. The” deceased was a prominent member of the College Rifles Football Club, of which he" was president. He was chief clerk in the London and Liverpool and Globe Insurance Company, having been connected with the company for- 14 yeard. He is survived by his widow. MOTOR CARS COLLIDE. MAN KILLED INSTANTLY. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May .9. A fatal motor collision occurred at Lower Hutt to-day, the victim being Thomas Crook, a baker, residing in Kiwi street. It appears that a car driven by ths deceased was travelling along Trafalgar street at about 1 o’clock, and another, driyen by James Park Laurie, of Petone, was travelling through Collingwood street. The two vehicles collided at. the intersection and Crook received a fractured skull which caused instantaneous death. OLD MAN FOUND HANGING. (Per United Press Association.) ■ GORE, May 9. Edward C. Thompson, an old man, was found hanging by a strip in his hut at 1.30 p.m. to-day on the property of Mr J. Smaill, farmer, of Maitland.
