(Received May 8, at 8 p.m.) It is understood that Mr Ben Turner (Under-secretary for Mines) will shortly retire from the Ministry and be succeeded by Major A. T. Lee or Mr Vernon Hartshorn, both of whom are members of the Simon Commission. ’ It is rumoured that Mr Noel Buxton (Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries) has been designated- to an important bolonial post which will soon be vacant.
