The monthly meeting of the North-East Valley School Committee was held on Monday evening, and was presided over by Mr Hugh'Begg, .A letter of resignation was received from the janitress, and it was decided to invite applications for the position. The Visiting Committee rcperted upon the unsatisfactory condition of the class rooms on the south side, and strongly urged that all endeavours be used to get the Education Board to put the work on the urgent list, as teachers and scholars were working under great disadvantages, An appeal was made by the sports master for 00 football jerseys, and it is hoped that some contributions will be received for this purpose. The Radiant Health Club held its usual meeting on Monday evening. The president (Mrs Brooks) presided over a large attendance of members. The silence was taken by Miss Bott. The health exercises were conducted by Mrs Adamson Mrs Brooks introduced Mrs Watson as the speaker for the evening. Mrs Watson commenced by saying how beneficial tho exercises were, and that the body should be the first consideration,- as it was the temple of the living God. On e should cultivate the mind to think constructive thoughts. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Watson for her address. Before the close of the meeting musical selections were given by Mr Bennett and friends. The club’s affirmation brought the meeting to a close.
