The Probate Court, has granted an application to presume the death. of Captain Hugh Grosvenor, one of.'the victims of the aeroplane crash at Port Phillip. ' On -.January (i, when flying over Port Phillip' Bay, an aeroplane crashed, and Captain Grosvenor, Flight-lieutenant Briggs, and Aircraftsman D. C. Eweh lost their lives. Captain Grosvenor, whose body was not recovered, was.only 25 .years of age, and , was, a brilliant amateur jockey. He rode much in steeplechases before he left England for Australia, and twice competed in the Grand National. He took up flying after he arrived in Australia.. In 1928 he bought a D.H. Moth plane, and last year ‘he flew round Australia in 31 days.
