The authorities last evening began vigorous precautions,' which were redoubled to-day, against; 'disturbances. In the early morning Calcutta resounded to the tramp of armed men, and' the Light Horse were out’for the first time for many years. The Calcutta Scottish were, called out on Sunday night and are at. present at reserve - headquarters at Calcutta.
