ALL SAINTS' CHURCH.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of parishioners of All Saints’ Church was held in the church schoolroom last evening, the vicat (the Rev. W. Hardy Johnson) presiding over n good attendance. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet the chairman made special reference to the death of Miss Isabella Howlison, who had been an outstanding figure in the work of the church. Her work in the Sunday school had been known for many years, whilst in the choir and the ladies’ guild, oa well as in other activities of the church, she had always taken a very prominent part. The chairman concluded by thanking all those who had worked so enthusiastically during the year in the interests of the church. In seconding the adoption of the report Mr G. R. Ritchie stated that they were fortunate in that they had concluded the year on the right side of the ledger. This year they had reduced their overdraft to £B4, which in, itself was highly satisfactory. There were very many who were deserving of thanks for their work during the year, but to Mrs Pulton, who had done the greater part of the work in collecting money for the Pitchett Memorial, and to the church treasurer, Mr Wright, to whom they owed a great debt of gratitude for his skilful oversight of the finances of the parish, their thanks were especially due.
