ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
ANNUAL REPORT! The annual report of churchwardens and vestry of the 411 Saints’ Church to be' presented at the annual meeting of parishioners to-night, states:— . For the financial year ended March 31, the vestry income and the income from the parish societies make a total of £1661 7s. 9d. This includes subscriptions received for the erection of the memorial chapel (£3Ol 16s), of which stim, up to March 31, £328 12s 7d had been expended. Other expenditure includes diocesan payments (£lO5 16s 9d), St. Mary’s and Boys’ Memorial Orphanages (£34), and missions (£26 4s lid). Repairs to the buildings totalled £4l 17s lOd, as against an expenditure last year of £498 16s Sd. The bank overdraft at the date of the balance was £sl Is 9d. The following parishioners have passed away during the past year:— Messrs A. H. M‘Lean, C. W. Chamberlain John Mitchell, C. Jerram, Mrs Dray, and ■ Miss Isabella Hbwlison. Miss Howlison was an outstanding worker in several departments of the church’s activities, and in the Sunday school and choir she rendered faithful service for over half a century. The principal work undertaken by the vestry this year was the erection of a chapel as a memorial to the late Dean Fitehett. Thanks' to the efforts of an energetic committee of ladies, and to a large number of donations which were received, the vestry was enabled to set apart the south transept as a memorial chapel. The particulars of the offices of the church are as follow:—Holy communion, 3000; baptisms, 18; confirmations, 7; marriages, 23.
