Ihe liacon-quring industry and the manufacture of numerous sitle-lince iueluding pork pies and many other delicacies which arc much appreciated in the home, was first undertaken by Messrs Fort, Roche, and Co., 22 years ago, and since then has grown from small proportions to such a degree that it now takes a’ prominent place amongst businesses of its kind, carrying on an extensive trade in Rattray street. • Since they came into the industry hand labour has been superseded by the latest machinery, and the process of manufacturing tho various lines is now carried out in the most up-to-date manner with scrupulous care and under the most hygienic methods. Their goods are favourably known, and are distributed over practically the whole of .Otago.
