The firm of Marshalls Proprietary, which was started in a small way about 60 years ago. has expanded in a degree corresponding with the growth of the city, and it now occupies a prominent place in the business life of the community. The products of the company cover a wide range, and a lot of machinery is required f or tlic various branches of manufacture, including gelatine mixers, disintegrating, grinding, rotary mortars, mixing and tooth paste machines, to say nothing of patent labelling and other filling, clamping, capping machines, steam jacketed boilers, evaporators, etc., which are . essential to the production of the highest grade household requirements. The tooth paste machine, one of the latest, is capable of turning out well over 2000 filled tubes in a day.
