_—_— This old-established firm of furniture .manufacturers is now under new management and its airfi is to give the public ill the-latest in furniture and furnishings. Messrs C. and W, Hayward, Ltd., have 'men doinu a considerable amount of Tieatrical work; providing seats and 'urnishings, and at present are busy on , wo different theatres, necessitating working overtime The firm provides the tandards as well as other parts ol the mats, and, as the standards are bade tor them locally, it is evident that a f '-rreat amount of Dunedin labour is employed whim Messrs Hayward are successful in their tenders. There is a - great deal of talk nowadays about America , being—in comparison with the MotherI land—quick and lively.” but that the British firm cah hold their own for speedy fulfilment of orders is made manifest jjy the following .fact: —Last Wednesday , Messrs C. and W. Hayward sent a wire to an Auckland firm (agents for an : English house) ' for leather for theatre scats, and on Thursday (the following morning) they received a reply to the effect that the leather was shipped from ~ England, and would arrive here about June 24.
