In connection with the publication of „ directories the name of Messrs Stone, Son. , - and Co. has been well established throughout New Zealand for very many years; | The issue of the Otago and Southland ’ Directory proved such a boon' to the ’ public that the firm extended this section of its activities .and published two other ’ vohlines, one covering Wellington, Hawke's Bay, and Taranaki, and the other dealing with Canterbui'y. Nelson, Marlborough, and Westland. The printing of directories, however, I represents only portion of the firm's activities, which embrace books, catalogue and art printing of a varied nature; I’hese undertakings provide employment at Dunedin and Wellington for large staffs which -have the assistance of the most modern machinery in turning out , high class work.
