, FORTHCOMING ELECTION. THE LABOUR CANDIDATES. * (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) SYDNEY. May 6. The Australian Labour Party’s executive has. selected its candidates for the City Council elections, Mr J. S. Garden and Mr Donald Grant are among those selected. The ballots generally resulted in victory lot; the extremist faction. Mr Tyrell, a member of the Legislative Council, made a spirited plea to the executive to. drop Mr Garden in view of the effect that it would have-upon the 1 electors, as bis selection would handicap Labour’s chances of ruling at the City Hall.
