ANGLICAN BIBLE CLASSES.
Most of the Dunedin districts were represented on Sunday evening when the newly-formed Dunedin branch of the Anglican Bible Class Union held its service in St. Paul’s Cathedral. Roughly 100 representatives <were present, and the church was well filled with worshippers. Youthful enthusiasm, it was felt, contributed much to the inspiration of the service. Mr L. F. de Berry read the special lessons. The choir gave a brilliant rendering of an anthem on the words taken from Isaiah Iv, “ Ho, everyone that thirsteth,,Canon Nevill spoke on the value which all, peoples at all times have set upon their Scriptures. He strongly urged that a miracle would he effected if everyone set himself to reflect the ideals laid down in the Scriptures. The visitors then enjoyed an excellent offertorium played by the organist, Mr Heywood. After the service, St. Paul’s class entertained the gathering at supper in the schoolroom, when Mr de Berry, the union president, took charge of the proceedings. The organisation in Dunedin bids fair to show energetic growth, and these rallies will be held from time to time in the various Anglican churches of the city.
