REVOLT IN SANTO DOMINGO
PROTECTION OF FOREIGNERS. PREPARATIONS BY BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) RUGSY, February 28. In view of the revolt proceeding in the Republic of Santo Domingo, in the West Indies, the British sloop Wistaria, which is stationed in those waters, has been ordered to be prepared to proceed there if the situation should threaten the Safety of British Nationals. While there is a danger that the rebellion may get out of hand, the leaders are expected to do their utmost to safeguard the interests of foreign subjects, and the latest information indicates that the Wistaria is not lifiely to be required.
