PATROL VESSEL LOST

VANCOUVER, March 1, - (Received March 2, at 5.5 p.m.) The fisheries patrol vessel Thiepval, a former British naval mine sweeper, struck an uncharted rock off the British Columbia coast. The £rew of two officers and 20 men took to the boats. ■ . During the night the tide lifted the yessel, which slipped off a ledge, sinking too deep to be raised.
