ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR MARCH.

THE SUN. The sun’s path during the month of •March will be in R.A. from 22,46.50 to P G -55; in declination from 7.45.10 south and in longitude from 340.11.7 to 10.2A'’. The autumn equinox occurs on the 21st. THE MOON. The phases of the moon are as under:— First quarter .... Bth 3.30 p.m. Full moon .. .. 15th 6.28 a.m. Last quarter .. .. 22nd 2.43 p.m. New moon 30th 5.16 p.m. Perigee .. .. 13th 7.54 am. Apogee .. .. 25th 4.54 am. THE PLANETS. . will be in RA. from 21.20.52 to 0.34.48, and in declination from 17.8.29 south to 2.26.40 north. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 29th. Venus will be in RA. from 23.9.42 to 1.26.33 and in declination from 657 2 south to 8.10.36 north. It will be in conjunction with' Uranus on the 21st and with the moon on the 31st. Mars will be in EA. from 21.21.55 to 22.52.15, and in south declination from 16.34.52 to 8.28.38, It will be in ■ con** junction with the moon on the 27th. Jupiter will be in RA. fom 4.24.9 to 4.40.39, and • in north declination from 21.8.52 to 21.48.57. It will he in conjunction with the moon on the 7th. Uranus will be in conjunction with the moon on the 3rd and on the 30th. and Neptune will he in conjunction with the moon on the 13th.
