CANTERBURY v. OTAGO. The following team has been selected to represent Otago in the interprovincial match against Canterbury, to be played at 2 p.m. on the Dunedin green on Thursday, March 5. The local players are those who journeyed to Christchurch last year. If anyone is unable to play he is asked to communicate at once with the secretary of the centre: —R. H. DRAW FDR FIRST ROUND. / Nineteen entries have been received for the champion of champions competition, and play will take place on the Dunedin Chib’s green, the first game starting at , P a.m. to-day. Games will be 21 heads, with a time limit of one hour and a-half, and four games will probably be completed, the remaining rounds being played on Monday nest, at a time to be fixed by the committee in charge. The winner of this competition will hold the "Manuka” bowl trophy, presented to the Dunedin Centre by Mr Wyrley Birch in recognition of the kindness and hospitality extended by the people of Dunedin to himself and company at the time of the wreck of the vessel.

LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. MRS EASTON WINS PAIRS. The ladies’ bowling tournament was brought to a conclusion on the Mornington green yesterday, the two remaining games in the pairs being played. The semi-final in the pairs between Mrs Easton and Mrs Walker'was fairly evenly contested up to the thirteenth end, when the score was ll—lo in favour of Mrs. Easton, who in the next end added a three, and finished 4 up. Mrs Easton met Mrs Heenan in the final, and' at the end of the third head was C up. The scores were even at the sixth and eighth heads'; A 0 to Mrs Easton, followed by a succession of small scores gave her a big lead, and Mrs Heenan retired at the conclusion of the twentieth end, 11 down. ‘ Following are the results:— PAIRS COMPETITION. Semi-Final. Mesdames Higginson and Easton (Dunedin) 16 heat Mesdames Wood and Walker (Mornington) 12. Final. Mesdames Higginson and Easton (Dunedin) 24 beat Mesdames Stephens and Heenan (Dunedin) 13.
