BAND RECITALS.
To-morrow afternoon at the Botanic Gardens, at 3 p.m., the Port Nicholson Band will render an excellent programme, including the cornet solo “ Ethelinda,” by Mr Thomas Goodall. The band will be heard in a selection of Rossini’s works arranged by the late Mr Alick Owen. Other items are; “ Slidin’ thro’ the Rye," “The Whistling Farmer Boy.” “Carolina Moon,” the overture “ Morning, Noon, and Night,” and the hymn “Nearer, My God.” The programme will conclude with the concert march “ The Scindian.”
To-morrow afternoon, commencing at 3 o’clock, the Woolston Band will render a specially selected programme in the St. Clair rotunda.
