BAD LANGUAGE ON TRAINS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Proceeding by a north train the other day was a group of lads in uniform, apparently going into camp. As I passed and repassed, a number who filled the platform at the carriage ends, my cars were assailed by a string of epithets, sacred and profane, used by a lad with a clean uniform but a foul mouth.. The story he told was one of the simplest, but the narration of it became vile and nauseating and seemed to be prolonged in order to display his stock of profane expletives. None of those lads would dare to use such terms to their mother and sisters or in decent company.—l am, etc.. Safety First. February 25.
