THE REFORM PARTY.
NORTHERN ELECTORATES. (Per United Press Association.) TAURANGA, February 28. Reform members of Parliament have been addressing meetings of their supporters and friends in the Bay of Plenty and Tauranga electorates during the week. They reached Tauranga on Wednesday night after addressing a meeting at Te Puke in the afternoon. A representative meeting at Tauranga was addressed by Messrs F. Waite, A. M. Samuel, A. W. Hall, and C. E. Manmillan, M.P.’s. The speakers dealt with the aims and objects of the party, its 16 years’ performance, and outlined its future policy. The following resolution was carried:—“ This meeting desires to record its confidence in Mr J. G. Coates and the Reform Party. The sound, progressive policy of that party is considered to be in the best interests of the people and the country, and merits the confidence of the electors as a whole.”
