CONTROL OF DEER.
CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 2S. There lias been for some time* a controversy existing over the control of deer in New' Zealand. To-day the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr P. A. de la Perrclle) stated that he had gone very carefully into the whole question, and it had been decided to hold a conference of those interested in Christchurch on May 7. It is understood that the proposed conference will be fully representative of all parties concerned. “ It is,” remarked Mr de la Porrolle, my desire to sec some equitable arrangement made for the control of deer, and I think when the personnel of the conference is announced it will have the confidence of all interested in tins vexed question.”
