DUNEDIN PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGY CLUB.

The annual meeting of the .Dunedin ■Practical Psychology Club was held yesterday.: . _ The president, Miss 0. Mercer, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, said it was the duty _of every member to co-operate in_ extending the work. By externalising their thoughts to words and deeds they definitely built power and personality and grew into the ideal held in mind. The club had sustained a great loss during the year in the death of its late president,, Mr W. Millin, who had taken a whole-hearted interest in its activities since its The club was greatly indebted to Mrs Denton Leech, Messrs H. C. M'Queen, J. G. Anderson, L. F. de Berry,-Dr Findlay, Dr Holloway, . and the Yen. Archdeacon Whitehead, who so willingly gave their services as, lecturers on open nights, and thanks were also extended to the friends who contributed vocal and elocutionary items.

The balance sheet submitted by the treasurer, Mr F. Jones, revealed a very satisfactory position as regards finance. The club’s library had proved a useful and attractive feature. Many new Looks were added in the year. The president. Miss Mercer, wrote a small book, ‘“Affirmations for Daily Use,” which was published during the year, and was found so useful in all the clubs in New Zealand that a second edition would soon have to be printed. A comprehensive programme has been prepared for this year’s work, and a strong committee was formed to carry out the various duties of the club. Miss 0. Mercer was re-elected president.
