A LEAGUE OF THIEVES
DISCOVERY IN VICTORIA. MEMBERS BOUND BY AGREEMENT. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, February 25. (Received Feb, 25, at 8 p.m.) The arrest of four men in a little Lonsdale street house led to the/discovery of a thieves league which 'exists in Victoria, the members of which are bound by an agreement .which pledges them to carry out r’ohberies as ordered by the organisation and to share the proceeds equally, and if arrested not to disclose the names of their confederates. A copy of the document was found at the lodgings of one of those who were arrested and a quantity of stolen material.
