TROUBLE AT A DANCE.
OFFENDERS HEAVILY FINED. (Peb United Press Association.) , AUCKLAND, January 20. George Edward Olson, aged. 18, was charged in the Police Court with obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty, and Alfred Heury Barker, alias George Roberts, aged 19, was ohargedmth being drunk and with using insulting language. The accused youths went from town and caused a disturbance at a New Lynn dance, when the local lads resented their action m trying to force their 'way in. Ihe appearance of a constable prevented from being roughly handled. Constable Boag said .that the accused i vere 'v* l beer,” and were .looking for a fight. Apparently, they were known in their own district and went to other parts. A number of these youths drove in motor cars to out districts and Caused trouble." “May we have our names suppressed," asked Barker. “Certainly not/'replied the magistrate (Mr F. K. Hunt). “If I had my way I would advertise your name at every dance hall in Both were fined £5, or 14 days’ imprisonment.
