GIRL GUIDE NOTES.
Tlic Roslyu Girl Guides hold a successful damp at Outrain from December 28 to January 2 inclusive. Despite the weather conditions, the guides remembered the eighth Guido Law, which says, ‘.A .(guide smiles and sings under ' all difficulties.” The camp was held to enable 'tho guides to complete their test for the pioneers’ badge, which requires that at legfet seven days be spent under canvas. No guide can attend the Dominion ramp to .bo-held at Trentham next week without it. On the last Sunday of the old year the guides, with their captain (Aliss Jna Clarke) attended divine service in tjic local church. Airs Bcnth (commissioner) and some of the parents of the guides visited the camp last Monday, when a most enjoyable time was spent. The following will represent the various guide companies at the Dominion camp to be held in Wcilington:— Roslyn.—Aliss Clarke (captain), Rangers K. Sligo, C. Wostrop, M. Bathgate, AX. .Thompson, and At. Spence. First Bisbopscourt.—Aliss, Al. Hervey (captain). First North-East Valley (St. Alartin’s). —Aliss B. Hickson (captain). Guides G. Biye, D. Fitzsimmons, G. Williams, B. Wilson, E. Wise. Fourth Dunedin (All Saints’). —Miss S. A. Burgess (captain). Woodhangh.—Cadets T. Hicksom S. Pocqck. Aliss- L. Taber, who has resigned her position as captain of the "Woodhangh Company, was tho recipient of a present from the guides. Instead of holding the usual breakingup party, the Fourth Dunedin (All Saints’) Brownie Pack, with Aliss Clare Duffy (Tawny Owl), visited the Hospital on Christmas Day and distributed scrap books made by the brownies. ’.lhe following rangers and guides qualified for various guide distinctions:— Roslyn Company.—All-round guide cords: Alona Bathgate, Cynthia Westvop. Williams. B. Wilson. Woodnanjrli Company.—All-round guide cords: Cadet T. Hickson, Airs C. do R. Andrews (nrovincial commissioner) and Airs G. W.
