ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
THROWN FROM A HORSE. (Pee United Press Association.) GISBORNE, January 4. A Maori, named Jimmy WhituJ aged 50, died on admission to the Te Puia Hospital last night from injuries caused by being thrown from a horse on mas Day. The deceased had previously been ordered to hospital by a doctor, but his relatives kept him at home. GAS POISONING. (Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 4. Alice Ellen Forscutt, a married woman 48 years of age, residing at 14 Montreal street, Sydenham, was found dead this afternoon at her home with her head covered by a coat over a gas ring. ,n inquest was opened this evening and adjourned.
