THE PAISLEY DISASTER
BURIAL OF VICTIMS. THEATRE MANAGER CHARGED. (United Press Association.} (By Electric Telegraph- -Copyright.) LONDON, January 3. The morning at Paisley bore the hush of death when 50 little victims of the kinema fire were buried. The corteges were five hours in traversing the streets. A pathetic fact was that one of the gravediggers participating in the preparation of the 60 graves knew that his comrades were excavating graves for two of his children who perished in the disaster. Durward, the manager of the theatre, appeared at the Sheriff’s Court. The proceedings were in private. The reading of the charge of culpable homicide occupied 10 minutes. Durward was remanded, and bail was refused.
