A JAZZ PIANO
PROTEST FROM MUSICIANS. INVENTOR THREATENED WITH BOMBS. (United Press' Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 4. (Received Jan. 5, at 11.50 p.in.) The Sunday Times Budapest correspondent states that Hungarian jazz orchestras have addressed a P formal appeal to Herr Szerkeres, inventor ,o£ the jazz piano, to suspend the manufacture of the instrument lest musicians worldwide should be deprived of a livelihood. Herr Szerkeres ignored the protest and held a concert in Budapest, whereafter he received ‘ * letter signed " desperate jazz players,” threatening to bomb his home and deprive him of all interest in the success of the invention.
